Dedication to Quality

Grown and produced at Guisachan Estate in the Scottish Highlands, this tea is crafted in very small batches. As such, we can work with the conditions and tea leaves as they are, reacting to any changes due to weather.

The winters in Guisachan can harsh, so the decision was made to invest in the protective growing environment of a polytunnel for these tea plants.

Natural and biodiverse growing is encouraged, with toads and many spiders spotted around the tea area.

But what does it taste like?

"Tastes like the mist slowly rolling over the Scottish mountains."

-   Mara

"  Like a fine white wine, sweet stone fruit of a variety I'm not familiar, something exotic...

Vegetal freshness (smell from wet leaves, and taste). Particularly good with garlic-cheese scones, both amplify their flavours when enjoyed together  "

-   P Jeffels

We're also exploring some small scale tea experiments with a view to crafting other types of tea. Currently Donald produces black tea with a recent foray into green tea production. If you would like to stay updated on any of these experiments join our tea mail family, you will also be first to hear about any new tea news.
